Sue studied for a BSc in Nutrition and Dietetics in 2010 following a career in media. She felt that the making TV shows didn't make her "heart happy" so made a decision to retrain to support people with their health. She continues to believe that it was the easiest and best decision of her working life
During her time as a Dietitian she has assisted patients with multiple presentations - from weight management, to tube feeding following strokes and many things in-between. In more recent years her NHS career saw her as the Dietitian in charge of one of the UK's Adult SEDUs (Specialist Eating Disorder Unit) for almost 10 years. In addition she assists adults and young people (under 18 years) in the community. She is also proud Chair of the East of England Dietitians in Eating Disorders Group.
Having supported people exclusively for the NHS, in 2021 (as her children became teenagers), she made the decision to balance that NHS work alongside private practice and so BRAVE was born.
Sue likes to interweave nutritional messages using CBT-E skills in the hope of empowering people to take control of their relationship with food and improving their health.
Sue has 3 dogs who have been known to occasionally join the consultations. In her spare time she can be found filling holes in the garden that her new rescue puppy has created!
